Meet The Founders
Meet Lisa
A Heart for Service, A Lifetime of Care
Lisa’s path was paved by personal experience. For over 15 years, she navigated the complexities of aging while caring for her father and aunt. Those years of family caregiving didn’t just teach her the logistics of elder care—they sparked a lifelong mission to treat every senior with the dignity and compassion they deserve.
Experience You Can Trust
Since 1992, Lisa has been a fixture in the senior care world. From managing procurement in skilled nursing to serving as a Client Care Director in Northern Virginia, she has seen every side of the industry. In 2022, she channeled that expertise into co-founding Care Connect NoVa with her wife, Sheri, to provide the flexible, concierge-level support she knew families were missing.
Advocate and Community Leader
Lisa’s heart for service reaches far beyond the office. She is a proud board member of the Loudoun Senior Network and a volunteer for the Upending Parkinson’s climbing program. Whether she’s advocating for local seniors or climbing alongside them, Lisa believes in staying active, connected, and involved.
At Home in Purcellville
Living in Purcellville with Sheri and their "small zoo" of two dogs and four cats, Lisa finds joy in her garden and dreams of adventures in Costa Rica. Though her family is spread from California to Ohio, the time she spends with her granddaughter is what she cherishes most.
For Lisa, Care Connect NoVa isn't just a business—it’s her way of ensuring your family’s aging journey is met with a steady hand and a kind heart.
Meet Sheri
An Advocate for Home and Heart
To Sheri, "home" is the foundation of our life stories. As the co-founder of Care Connect NoVa and a specialized Virginia Realtor, she has spent decades helping families navigate major life transitions with dignity and expertise.
Diverse Expertise, Singular Mission
Sheri is more than a consultant; she is a champion for those she serves. With specialized designations as a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), she is uniquely equipped to help seniors and veterans find the right path forward. Her background as a cantorial soloist and Hebrew tutor—guiding over 70 students through their B’nai Mitzvah—perfectly reflects the patience and mentorship she brings to Care Connect NoVa.
Active in the Community
Originally from New Orleans but a Virginian for over 35 years, Sheri believes in the power of showing up. Whether she’s flying kites at Franklin Park or volunteering for the Upending Parkinson’s rock-climbing program, she is constantly looking for ways to foster connection and strength within her community.
Life in Purcellville
Sheri lives in Purcellville with her wife, Lisa, and their lively household of two dogs and three cats. Whether she is advocating for housing rights or ensuring a senior has the companionship they need, Sheri’s work is defined by a simple, powerful commitment: treating every client like family.

Nicole Solis
Known for saving dogs and adoring my 'senior besties,' I balance my IT career with my true passion: connecting with our seasoned neighbors. From advanced Alzheimer’s support to simple errands, I love being the fresh, reliable face that lets family caregivers finally relax. Rest those shoulders—I’m here to help!
-

Kaleen Harrison
With a background in senior fitness—including teaching Silver Sneakers and personal training—I have dedicated my career to keeping older adults active and smiling. I joined Care Connect to focus on what I love most: hearing your stories and learning from your wisdom. When I’m not kayaking, cross-stitching, or teaching indoor cycling, I’m busy keeping up with my twin boys (ask me about the shock of finding out there were two of them!).

Jess Harper
With over a year at Care Connect NoVa, I view every visit as a chance to replace isolation with tangible joy. I specialize in working with memory loss, where I’ve learned that a little patience goes a long way—turning anxious moments into greetings with open arms! Whether we are heading out for a lunch drive, sharing music and recipes, or just having a laugh, I’m here to bring a sense of safety and companionship. (Off the clock, I’m usually guilty of staying up past my bedtime binge-watching a good Netflix series!)

BJ DeWeerd
Meet BJ Companion & Story-Catcher (1 Year with Care Connect NoVa)
Inspired by the experience of caring for her own father after his diagnosis, [Name] brings a deep sense of empathy and "can-do" spirit to every visit. For her, the best part of the job is the history lessons—she loves seeing a client’s face light up as they share stories from their past.
[Name] is all about getting out and enjoying life. Whether it’s a lunch date, a scenic drive to see the neighborhood, or tackling a project at home, she is ready to help. She has even earned the title of "Chief Assembler" for her clients, helping put together everything from patio furniture to Amazon deliveries!
Her "Why": Connection. She was once honored to join a client’s intimate 80th birthday dinner, where she was welcomed just like family—a moment she cherishes.
Fun Fact: She is a woman of many talents: she plays the piano, is a proud lefty, and has the secret ability to write backwards!

Kathleen Klavon
Meet Kathleen Compassionate Creative (2.5 Years with Care Connect NoVa)
Kathleen describes herself as a "free spirit" who has found her calling in service to others. With a diverse background in social services and the medical field, she brings a unique blend of capability and calm to every visit. A certified 200-hour yoga and meditation teacher, Kathleen specializes in "active listening"—ensuring every client feels truly seen, heard, and valued in her presence.
Creativity is Kathleen's love language. Whether she is watercolor painting, sculpting with clay, or whipping up a culinary masterpiece, she loves finding new ways to spark joy and curiosity in her clients. She is just as happy hiking outdoors as she is sitting quietly, holding space for a memory.
Her "Why": The moments of pure joy. She loves watching clients relive their glory days—like the time a 90-year-old client vividly reenacted a Swiss ski trip right in the living room, poles and all!
Fun Fact: Don't let the Zen vibe fool you; she is a huge Sci-Fi nerd! As a "boy mom" to three sons, she loves everything from Star Trek to Marvel movies.

Karen Natoli
DescriptMeet Karen The Dedicated Pro (1 Year with Care Connect NoVa)
With over 15 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Karen brings a wealth of knowledge and a steady, reassuring presence to every visit. She isn't just there to help; she is there to learn. Her favorite part of the day is sitting down to listen to a client’s life history, soaking up the wisdom and stories they have to share.
Karen is known for building deep, lasting connections. Before joining our team, she spent over a decade caring for two live-in clients (one for 6 years, another for 4.5 years), proving that she treats her clients like true family. When she isn't encouraging clients to get out and enjoy the day, she is likely showing them photos of her two beloved Corgis.
Her "Why": The stories. She believes every senior is a history book waiting to be opened, and she loves learning from their experiences.
Fun Fact: Karen is a massive music lover and concert-goer! She listens to all genres, so she is always ready to discuss your favorite bands or play some tunes during a visit.ion goes here
